What Girls Camp Means to Me

[Verse 1] Fireside talks and faith walks Flashlight beams and zipped-up sleeping bags New friends and fun that never ends Waving high all our camp flags Climbing peaks and eating treats Sore feet, but we still all laugh Sixteen girls in a minivan Trying to get a tan, and playing in the sand (hey!) [Chorus] This is what girls camp means to me Splashing in the lake, feeling wild, feeling free Cool friends like these and fun memories Growing closer to who I’m meant to be Yeah, this is what girls camp means to me [Verse 2] Morning chill and tangled braids Inside jokes we’ll never explain Heartfelt fireside testimonies Tears in the glow when you say His name Singing songs under all those stars Off-key, but it sounds just right Arm in arm on the dusty road Sharing flashlights and sharing light (oh-oh) [Chorus] This is what girls camp means to me Splashing in the lake, feeling wild, feeling free Cool friends like these and fun memories Growing closer to who I’m meant to be Yeah, this is what girls camp means to me [Bridge] I came here shy, I’m going home strong Found my voice in every song (sing it!) Every story, and every prayer Tells me I belong right here [Final Chorus] This is what girls camp means to me Splashing in the lake, feeling wild, feeling free Cool friends like these and fun memories Learning who the Lord made me to be Yeah, this is what girls camp means to me (What girls camp means to me)
