--- Back to the quirky "wheelhouse" style that the persona was built on. This time about going to college with no idea what major you want to have, so you basically go through them all . . . lol. My wife was an Academic Advisor for a college, so she can relate to the subject matter. I was especially happy with the line getting split up vocally - Male sings "Advisor said," and the Female singing "Just take your time". Manipulated the word depreciated to extend it out to add more emphasis. Decided to make it "dee prish ee ated" to show that he apparently never majored in English . . . lol. Was fun, and the quirk totally shines through. Has been nice to have a solid balance of "silly" and "serious" on the "album". Onto the home stretch, just a few more songs to go to wrap it up! ~David --- [Musical Introduction] [Funky bass slap → calculator clicks → coin jar shake → playful synth blips] [Verse 1 - Male Vocals - Ned – playful, rapid] Signed up as a bio major—life was lookin’ cellular Two weeks in, I pivoted—guess I’m more editorial Tried psych—analyze my brain, now I’m overthinking that Switched to business—“build a brand!”—but I couldn’t sell a fact Every syllabus a different me Every week a new identity Advisor said, “Just take your time” I said, “Cool, I’ll change my mind nine times” [Pre-Chorus] Credits stacking like a Jenga tower One wrong move and I lose another hour [Chorus] [full band, bouncy] I’m majorly undecided— Can’t pick a lane, I just keep slidin’ Left, right, switch it up again— New path, new plan, new existential spin Majorly undecided— Every choice gets overridden By the time I think I’ve got it made… It’s outdated, dee prish ee ated [Verse 2 - Male Vocals - Spider groove + Ned wordplay] [Male Vocals - Spider - cool, rhythmic] Tried computer science, thought I’d code my fate [Male Vocals - Ned] AI wrote my homework… now it graduates [Male Vocals - Spider] Thought I’d study art—get expressive, bold [Male Vocals - Ned] Now an algorithm paints it faster than I’m told [Male Vocals - Both] Pick a path, it disappears Future changes every year What’s the point of choosing “right”… When “right” updates overnight?
