Shattermind
On his skin, maps are written in fire, notes that bleed in the margins of memory. A clock with no hands grins from the table, but he can’t recall who gave him time. Forget to survive, (survive to forget). A ghost that writes itself, and erases at dawn. Photographs nailed with rusted spikes, faces that change their names when night falls. He says he hunts the killer of his peace, but doesn’t know if it’s a stranger or reflection. [Bridge] The walls whisper truths in circles, he chooses the lie that fits the frame. Truth is a knife that shines too bright, he clings to the blind edge of invention. Forget to survive, (survive to forget). A lie is a shelter, memory is a cell. Steps echo on a hallway repeating, every door opens to the same unfinished dream. He is both the hunter and the hunted, the question and the wound. I wrote this prison with my own hand. I killed the truth to feel alive. I chose the story that keeps me breathing— I lied to myself, and I will lie again. Forget to survive, (survive to forget).
