I saw a beautiful sunrise; closed my eyes and saw your face. A calm and peaceful blue sky — no clouds, no wind, no rain. Small waves lapped the shoreline, sweet music to my ears. File under “L” — the things you see and hear today. I took a walk in the park, saw children out to play. Their laughter running after whatever the breeze carries away. I saw the trees, all their leaves, the branches on display. File under “L” — those things you see and hear today. I walked down the high street; I helped an elder cross the road. I heard a child ask their mom if they were going to the toy store. I saw pigeons feeding busily from a tramp who’d lost his way. File under “L” — those things you see and hear today. I got myself a coffee in a café across the road. Daughters treating mothers, talking quietly about their woes. My eyes and ears are taking in the pleasantness of my day.
