Mother, Hear the Northwind

[Title: MOTHER, HEAR THE NORTHWIND CALL] [Chorus] Mother, hear the northwind call, I hear the drums beyond the wall. Your fire burns beneath my shield, Your daughter will not leave the field. And if I fall beneath that sky, I’ll raise my shield before I die. But if these war drums lead me home, I’ll bring your fire where I roam. [Verse 1] I learned your stories by the flame, I wore your quiet like a name. The hall grew small, the night grew wide, I felt the north pull at my side. You packed no gold into my hand, You gave me iron, gave me land Inside my chest, a living spark, Enough to walk me through the dark. [Chorus] Mother, hear the northwind call, I hear the drums beyond the wall. Your fire burns beneath my shield, Your daughter will not leave the field. And if I fall beneath that sky, I’ll raise my shield before I die. But if these war drums lead me home, I’ll bring your fire where I roam. [Verse 2] The winter carved me to the bone, But every mile became my own. I crossed the sea through wind and rain, And learned that courage carries pain. When battle thundered through the night, I held your memory in the fight. When every oath began to fray, I heard your voice and found my way. [Final Chorus] Mother, hear the northwind call, I hear the drums beyond the wall. Your fire burns beneath my shield, Your daughter will not leave the field. And if I fall beneath that sky, I’ll raise my shield before I die. But if these war drums lead me home, I’ll bring your fire where I roam. JESUS IS THE LORD.
