[Verse] You broke my trust, you tore my seams But life's too short for shattered dreams I won't dwell on what you’ve done This battle's fought when love has won [Pre-Chorus] It's not easy no, it’s tough To rise above when it feels so rough But holding on’s a heavy chain Letting go will end the pain [Chorus] I forgive you and set you free Not just for you, but also for me Love’s a power that mends and heals Forgiveness, is the love that’s real [Instrumental bridge] [Verse 2] Your words were sharp your actions cold But hatred's weight is hard to hold I choose the light I choose to see The person that you mean to me [Bridge] We live, we learn, mistakes will show Life's a river where love will flow The scars we wear gift us the proof That we were strong, we found the truth [Pre-Chorus] It's not easy no, it’s tough To rise above when it feels so rough But holding on’s a heavy chain Letting go will end the pain [Chorus] I forgive you and set you free Not just for you but also for me Love’s a power that mends and heals Forgiveness, is the love that’s real [Instrumental outro]
