[Verse 1] The hour is moving close You feel it in the bones Jesus told the signs Before the final throne Matthew speaks it plain Mark and Luke agree What was hidden in the dark Will stand for all to see [Pre-Chorus] So I watch and I wait With my heart wide open Keep my lamp trimmed low Keep my hands still chosen [Chorus] One will be taken One will be left I want to be ready When the Master steps One will be taken One will be left Teach me to stand With a faithful breath [Verse 2] Sheep and goats at dawn Wise ones at the door Talents in our hands Can’t bury what we’re for Foolish steps run dry Wise steps keep the flame Every little choice Will answer in His name [Pre-Chorus] So I watch and I wait With my heart wide open Keep my lamp trimmed low Keep my hands still chosen [Chorus] One will be taken One will be left I want to be ready When the Master steps One will be taken One will be left Teach me to stand With a faithful breath [Bridge] Not fear, but holy fire Not sleep, but waking eyes The Bridegroom’s on the move And time won’t slow tonight If my life has fruit If my love is true Let my whole hard road Point straight back to You [Final Chorus] One will be taken One will be left I want to be ready When the Master steps One will be taken One will be left Teach me to stand With a faithful breath One will be taken One will be left Take me in Your mercy When the trumpet lifts
