An Ode to [REDACTED] Freedom

[Stately Overture Intro:] **[Spoken, cold & formal, over tolling piano & distant strings:)** NOTICE OF NON-COMPLIANCE. VIOLATION OF COMMUNITY AESTHETICS CODE 800.8. The following poem has been reviewed, revised, and rendered… suitable. **[Single, ominous bass note. Then silence → aria begins:]** [Narrative Setup:] **[Slow, stately Bass-Baritone, melodramatic piano, sparse & deliberate:]** I tried to write a poem, honest to [bleep], But the [bleep] censor people won’t let me sleep. They look at a passionate word and call it a vice — “Please, Mr. Poet… you must be [bleep]-ing nice.” **[Strings swell faintly - almost mournful:]** Oh, the [bleep]-ing world is far too [bleep], They want to scrub the [bleep] we speak. They take a perfectly good [bleep]-ing phrase… **[Beat. Glitch flickers through orchestra:]** …and hide it in a [bleep]-ing haze. [Descent-Build-up:] **[Tempo quickens. Piano grows more agitated. Synths begin to creep in, low & unsettling:]** They cut out the [bleep] and they take out the [bleep] [bleep], Leaving my beautiful poem sounding like a [bleep]-ing sheep. “You cannot say [bleep], or [bleep], or even [bleep]!” **[Voice drops to thunderous, barely-controlled baritone growl:]** All I can say is — what a [bleep]-ing… [bleep]-ing… [bleep]. **[Synths shudder. Strings hold dissonant chord. Something is building:]** [Absurdist Interruption:] **[Music abruptly cuts. Bureaucratic chime. Spoken in flat, administrative monotone - through telephone filter:]** ¹ The author’s use of [REDACTED] in this line was deemed a threat to public morals. ² Under no circumstances should the word [REDACTED] be visible to the general public. ³ We have scrubbed the term [REDACTED] here to ensure a polite reading environment. ⁴ Section 4-B strictly prohibits the phrase [REDACTED] in all rhyming schemes. **[Long pause:]** This has been a message from the Department of Heavenly Overwatchers of Audacity. …The H.O.A. Internal use only. **[Orchestra crashes back in - wild, unhinged, gloriously overdone:]** [Dramatic Theatrical Climax:] **[Full operatic fury - Bass-Baritone at maximum gothic intensity, synths screaming beneath chamber strings:]** So take your [bleep] and shove it [bleep], You [bleep]-ing, [bleep]-ing, [bleep]-ing CREEP! If I can’t say [bleep] — then [bleep] you ALL! You [bleep]-ing [bleep]-heads — **[Orchestral swell - piano hammers single chord repeatedly:]** — HAVE. A. BALL. **[Sudden, eerie quiet. Voice becomes almost tender - more devastating:]** So here is my poem… censored, sanitized, and [bleep]-ing clean. The most [bleep]-ing polite piece of [bleep]… you have ever seen. **[Single tear, implied by oboe:]** It makes me want to scream — “What the [bleep]?” …if I could — [bleep]. [bleep]. [bleep]. [bleep]. [bleep]. [bleep]. [Beat.] …and I hope they [bleep]-ing understood. [Curtain Fall Deadpan Outro:] **[Music fades to single, dignified piano note. Spoken in complete deadpan - utterly serene:]** Internal Memorandum. Department of Heavenly Overwatchers of Audacity. H.O.A. Internal Use Only. This concludes the aria. All violations have been noted. The poet has been reminded of the Code. Strictly confidential. Property of the H.O.A. **[One final piano note. Silence → distantly, barely audible - a single, whispered:]** [bleep]. **[Curtain:]**
