[Verse] There once was a scallywag bold and sly He sailed the streets with mischief in his eye He wasn't after gold or rum He'd steal your packages one by one [Chorus] Oh the porch pirate's on his spree Sneakin' ‘round so dastardly From dawn 'til dusk he roams our lands Leavin’ empty porches in his hands [Verse] He’d tiptoe ‘cross the wooden floor Silently open the front door No treasure chest or mighty ship Just press a button and away he'd slip [Chorus] Oh the porch pirate's on his spree Sneakin' ‘round so dastardly From dawn 'til dusk he roams our lands Leavin’ empty porches in his hands [Bridge] Neighbors gather all around To catch this thief on hallowed ground With eyes like eagles Keen and bright They'd put an end to his nightly plight [Verse] But even as they tried and tried He’d always find a place to hide A wanted man And cleverly He’d laugh and taunt so mockingly
