[vinyl crackle — room tone — a guitar picks softly] VOICE 3 (spoken, low, unhurried): Twenty-eighth of September, twenty-twenty-six. Mark in time. This one's humble. But it's honest. Honesty — pure one hundred percent. It's the edge. [piano joins — still sparse] VOICE 1 (close, unpolished, plain): I can remember being artificial as a kid room full of friends from different towns and I couldn't choose who to be in that one moment Gemini mind, racing — or maybe just masks for every occasion I did like a good story and a laugh knowing what people wanted to hear it was all too easy... long ago So many rooms, so many walks rich and famous, poor and dangerous fake-it-till-you-make-it, pretend-you-have-it half the room sees it, the other half nods like a gang all perspective, all fragmented realities and I'd be the one holding it all down no judgement — back on me for my costumes masks, tools, survival and I can't even play myself no more VOICE 2 (soft harmonies): the seven frequencies, we came to learn them feel them to grow — love wipes them all in one shot we know... we just need to remember safety and trust first VOICE 1 (heavier, the confession): Hiding behind my music — truth be told I'm only saying it here to get it out my other life, I act like a teddy bear just to survive half of me isn't real with myself 'cause half of me can't be himself in the conditions I'm living in — if I am, I lose everything that's dear that's MY costume, aware or not I ain't even living... 'cause I can't and I'm not the only one — far from it that's why there's no true leaders same battle, same programming — I ain't mad at them no other choice even seems possible... impossible till you see it — witnessed is the curse Too scared to show the half of the man 'cause I'm not allowed... allowing myself will power, mind power — nah being a being — like I'm not allowed no book written for that all my feelings, denied by myself and I'm not the only one so maybe we all need each other all along I know we do... please — somebody out there show me something different it's all the same thing, over and over VOICE 2 (soft harmonies): the seven frequencies... love wipes them all in one shot we know... we just need to remember safety and trust first [guitar thins — room tone returns] VOICE 3 (spoken, dry, almost smiling): Total honesty looks like this: walking down the street naked, eating a sandwich... waiting to be arrested. That's the price the world puts on the whole man. Half of him pays rent in silence. The other half... is waiting for safety and trust. Clean node. Marked in time.
