[Intro] Okay. For the record— I saw this coming. Which somehow makes it worse. [Verse 1] Red flag, green light, read that scene right, had the receipts, the repeat, the reasons in neat lines. Mapped every exit, kept every pretext, clocked every slick little shift in the subtext. Common sense pinged me— “girl, don’t.” Seen it. Muted that message then walked where the heat is. Had intuition in stereo, facts in surround, still let one good grin turn the whole case around. Right. Of course. Had the verdict, the motive, the method, the proof, then somehow my standards went missing their shoes. I knew better beautifully, smoothly, completely— then tripped over “maybe” and landed on “meet me.” [Pre-Hook] Saw the sign. Read it twice. Walked right past it like— yeah, that’s nice. Nobody fooled me. Nobody had to. I brought my own bad judgment and walked straight at you. [Hook] Bam—boo. Bad move. Damn, who let me make my own damn rules? Bam—boo. One-two. Knew every reason not to— still went through. Nobody played me. That’s what’s brutal. Walked in awake— came out bamboozled. [Verse 2] Had a plan, had a spine, had a line, had a limit, had a whole little speech about never getting in it. Then you leaned, half-smiled, half-wild, no pressure— and my whole airtight thesis lost structural measure. Great. Fantastic. Logic went elastic. All that good judgment turned strangely gymnastic. Bent left, flipped back, landed right in your lap, while my brain kept filing appeals on the facts. I knew the pattern, the angle, the game, knew better than confusing a spark with a flame. Still watched my own caution get drunk on your name— then blamed bad timing. Sure. That’s sane. Had exits available, visible, practical— picked the least rational route imaginable. Nobody trapped me. That part is factual. I saw the cliff clearly and called it attractive. [Pre-Hook] Saw the sign. Read it twice. Put my hand on the stove just to check if it bites. Nobody fooled me. Nobody had to. I tied my own ribbon and handed it to you. [Hook] Bam—boo. Bad move. Damn, who let me make my own damn rules? Bam—boo. One-two. Knew every reason not to— still went through. Nobody played me. That’s what’s brutal. Walked in awake— came out bamboozled. [Break] Wait. No. This is not on you. I had options. Good ones. Ignored every single— ... yeah. Continue. [Bridge] Maybe I like the little derail, the drop in my stomach when logic fails. Maybe “bad idea” just wears too well when it walks in smiling and knows me that well. Maybe I’m bored with behaving polite, maybe I wanted to lose one fight. Maybe the truth— and this one’s rude— is I knew exactly what I was gonna do. [Final Hook] Bam—boo. There goes cool. Whole damn rulebook burned by page two. Bam—boo. My bad. Knew what I knew and still wanted that. Nobody played me. Nobody’s guilty. I saw the whole thing— and chose it willingly. So call it dumb. Call it beautiful. Call me awake, alive, and completely— bamboozled. [End]
