I Heard Some Bells on Christmas Day
I heard some bells on Christmas day, While old annoying carols play, So mild and neat soft words repeat, While screams of mirth, yelled in my pain. I wondered how, this day had come, How carefree all these christian bums, Had rolled along with such refrain, while screams of mirth still in my pain. And in despair I bowed my head, "There's no peace here," I yelled in dread, "My hate is strong," and mocked their song, while screams of mirth stabbed in my pain. The bells rang loudly, my soul did weep, "God shut up, and let me sleep!"; but they continued to make me sad, while screams of mirth would drive me mad. I gave in, full of duress, The world then faded, into darkness; The voices silenced, the bell rings waned, then peace on earth, and ceased my pain.
