The Road Love Traveled

[Verse 1] We walked the road from the palms to the pain We watched the sky turn to shadow and rain The Savior surrendered, the breath left His lungs We thought that the story of heaven was done [Pre-Chorus] Three days of silence, three days of grief But Love was descending to bring our relief The earth starts to tremble, the dark starts to shake! [Chorus 1] See the empty tomb! See the stone rolled away! The road Love traveled has conquered the grave! He is raised to new life, let the whole world awake Death is defeated, the darkness breaks Hallelujah, the King is alive! [Verse 2] The evidence stands in the breaking of dawn The shadows are fractured, the winter is gone A radical shift in the story of man The keys to the kingdom are held in His hand! [Chorus 2] See the empty tomb! See the stone rolled away! The road Love traveled has conquered the grave! He is raised to new life, let the whole world awake Death is defeated, the darkness breaks Hallelujah, the King is alive! [Bridge] Because He lives, we will take up the call! A new world of grace has been opened for all! We'll follow His footsteps, we'll walk in His light! Out of the shadows and into the life! [Chorus 3] See the empty tomb! See the stone rolled away! The road Love traveled has conquered the grave! He is raised to new life, let the whole world awake Death is defeated, the darkness breaks! Hallelujah, the King is alive! [Outro] The road Love traveled! He is alive! He is alive! (Fades out on a final, joyous piano chord)
