The Noise

It started with a spark and a shout in the street A thousand voices rising saying “we choose our own beat” No kings, no chains, no silence on our name We lit a fire for freedom and it’s still burning the same It’s the sound of people standing tall It’s the echo when we answer the call It’s the roar of hearts that won’t be hushed Two hundred fifty years and we’re still not crushed Liberty is a loud noise and we’re singing it out tonight Raise your voice, raise your heartbeat let it shine like city lights Liberty is a loud noise and it’s ours to amplify From the streets to the skies, we rise with freedom in our cry It’s the laughter in the crowd and the drums in the square It’s the right to stand together and the right to disagree there It’s the noise of every dream that refuses to fade A chorus built by the people and the choices we made It’s the sound of people standing tall It’s the echo when we answer the call It’s the roar of hearts that won’t be hushed Two hundred fifty years and we’re still not crushed Liberty is a loud noise and we’re singing it out tonight Raise your voice, raise your heartbeat let it shine like city lights Liberty is a loud noise and it’s ours to amplify From the streets to the skies, we rise with freedom in our cry We keep the fire burning every voice, every street, every year We carry the sound forward so the future knows we’re here Liberty is a loud noise and we’re singing it out tonight Raise your voice, raise your heartbeat let it shine like city lights Liberty is a loud noise and it’s ours to amplify From the streets to the skies, we rise with freedom in our cry
