[Verse 1] I walked in alone Past the black pine line Mud on my boots Moon caught in the vines Then I heard it low Under root and stone Something in the dark Calling me home [Pre-Chorus] Hush now Donāt run It knows my name Soft teeth Cold breath In the wet oak shade [Chorus] Growls in the dark Growls in the dark Come find me now Growls in the dark I know that sound I know that sound Growls in the dark (come find me now) [Verse 2] Red fox tail Cut through the ferns Old tin sign Half gone with the burn I saw two eyes Blow gold in the black Then the whole woods moved And I couldnāt go back [Pre-Chorus] Hush now Donāt run It knows my name Soft teeth Cold breath In the wet oak shade [Chorus] Growls in the dark Growls in the dark Come find me now Growls in the dark I know that sound I know that sound Growls in the dark (come find me now) [Bridge] No lantern glow No trail to keep Only bark and bone And a promise that creeps If I take one step It takes ten more And the night leans close At the forest door [Final Chorus] Growls in the dark Growls in the dark Come find me now Growls in the dark I know that sound I know that sound Growls in the dark (come find me now) Growls in the dark Growls in the dark
