The stars had filled the velvet sky, I lost myself where shadows lie, The sand beneath me seemed to breathe, Like something dreaming underneath. My eyes were caught by silver light, A little glass boat through the night, It drifted softly toward the shore, And someone I had loved before... My sister smiled across the blue, Like ocean fairies coming through, Our little cat sat by her side, And smiled at me upon the tide I whispered, “Tell me, can this be? You’ve been gone so long from me... Am I dreaming? Am I free? You’re not real... you cannot be.. She said, “Welcome to Unreality, A hidden shore beyond the sea, Where jealous eyes can never see The softer parts of you and me Welcome to Unreality You don’t have to fight your fears, You don’t have to drown in tears, Welcome home hmmmmmm Welcome to Unreality She turned the little boat around Where stars were floating on the sound The ocean glittered, strange and wide, With dreamlike scales beneath the tide This isn’t heaven, don’t you know, There are no wings, no golden glow, Just one safe beach beneath the moon, Where broken hearts can heal too soon Welcome to Unreality, A secret kingdom of the sea, A little place where love still breathes, Among the stars and silver dreams No more ghosts in human eyes, You don’t have to fight to be free... Just close your eyes And sail with me Hmmmmmmm
