Woe is me, with my small and privileged discomforts, little weather-worn complaints that barely register against the heat the rest of the world endures. And yet, here in North West England, our homes are not built for surrendering heat. They are built to hold it close. Brick, loft, carpet, curtain, fire, radiator, central heating: all designed to keep winter from our bones, not summer from our skulls. So when the heat arrives, even modest by global standards, 32 or 34Β°C, low 90s in old money, it settles in like a weight. It presses itself into the walls, into the sheets, into the lungs. It turns the house into a slow oven and the mind into a room with no windows. Too hot. Too tired. Too many nights of broken sleep. The body begins to run on fumes, the mind on static. Thought becomes thick. Movement becomes effort. Creativity dries up at the edges. For the last week or so, I have felt wrung out by it all, mentally hollowed and physically spent. There has been no great drama, no grand suffering, just the dull erosion of heat and sleeplessness, the quiet collapse into survival mode: keep cool, drink water, try to sleep, fail, repeat. I know I am often behind, but this time I have had to step away because there has simply been nothing spare to give. At last, the weather has broken. The air has softened. Normality is beginning to creep back in. Hopefully, sleep follows soon. === Instrumental β–Άβ–Ά Heatwave for the Over-Tired === πŸ’œ Thank you for your kindness of time in stopping to checking out the track. πŸ’œ ------------------------------ LHT - Open Loops: 2026 ( ReMix bases) That’s the heart of my Open Loops playlist. (Link below or via my profile). https://suno.com/playlist/a52dedf3-5296-4547-9d5e-893d128daaae A loose, ongoing collection of unexpected soundscapes I’ve made, simply because they interest me, and because I want to share them. Please do whatever you like with them. Use, build, bend, break, remix, mashups, cover, or simply explore the odd combinations and see what they spark. I'll add new ones to the top with a number and date reference for ease on tracking. Mostly, this is an easy evolving ongoing archive for me. But if someone stumble on a loop that helps them make something new, or unlocks a new idea, even better. Enjoy and have fun with these Open Loops. LHT The Left Hand Tree
