The Joust Five

Pub punk, group vocals, gang vocals, group chant

[Verse 1 – background]
(chasing the light bulb)
(till they thought they might take flight)

[Chorus – all]
It was the Joust Five! (the Joust Five!)
Running hard in formal wear! (formal wear!)
He said “I’m Dail Milton!” (Milton!)
And we thought the world would tare!

It was the Joust Five! (the Joust Five!)
But the moment passed so fast (passed so fast)
Barely felt the contact
Yet the memory still lasts! (still lasts)

[Verse 2 – lead]
Full speed sprint in the middle of town
Both men sure they would tare the night down
But when palms met, it was barely a sound
Still they called it legendary
Though no echo could be found

[Verse 2 – background]
(no echo could be found)

[Chorus – all]
It was the Joust Five! (the Joust Five!)
Running hard in formal wear! (formal wear!)
He said “I’m Dail Milton!” (Milton!)
And we thought the world would tare!

It was the Joust Five! (the Joust Five!)
But the moment passed so fast (passed so fast)
Barely felt the contact
Yet the memory still lasts! (still lasts)

[Bridge – chant, printed fully four times]
Epic or not! (epic or not!)
We sing it still! (sing it still!)

Epic or not! (epic or not!)
That night had will! (night had will!)

Epic or not! (epic or not!)
We felt alive! (felt alive!)

Epic or not! (epic or not!)
It was still the Joust Five! (Joust Five!)

[Chorus – all]
It was the Joust Five! (the Joust Five!)
Running hard in formal wear! (formal wear!)
He said “I’m Dail Milton!” (Milton!)
And we thought the world would tare!

It was the Joust Five! (the Joust Five!)
But the moment passed so fast (passed so fast)
Barely felt the contact
Yet the memory still lasts! (still lasts)

[Final Chorus – fully repeated]
It was the Joust Five! (the Joust Five!)
Running hard in formal wear! (formal wear!)
He said “I’m Dail Milton!” (Milton!)
And we thought the world would tare!

It was the Joust Five! (the Joust Five!)
But the moment passed so fast (passed so fast)
Barely felt the contact
Yet the memory still lasts! (still lasts)
