Where’d He Go?

Verse 1: Met this dude way back in the day, Never on time but he’d always say, “Relax, relax, I’m on my way— Just twenty minutes…” (Then he’s gone for days.) Late for class, late for school, Late for everything — that was the rule. We used to joke, and everybody knew: He’d be late for his own funeral too. Had a talent for the wild and strange, Plans were made, and he’d rearrange. One little spark turned into a blaze— Life with him was a maze of delays. Chorus: Where’d he go? (We don’t know!) Layin’ in AC with the chicken fingers cold. Where’d he go? (Who can say?) Door still locked and he’s been gone all day. Where’d he go? (Here we are!) Day two hits and there’s STILL no call. Where’d he go? (Wait—hold on!) Three days later and he strolls back home. Verse 2: Left the party sometime past one, Said he’d be right back—just havin’ fun. We woke up early, checked every room… Only thing missing? (Him… and the fumes.) We knocked on doors, asked the staff, Told the whole story, they just laughed. Looked like he vanished right off the map— Turns out he took a concert nap. Late to pull-ups, late to the game, Late for high school grad — Always the same. Never in trouble, never in line, Just running on Ivan Time. Bridge (story breakdown): Met a group of girls— (That tracks.) Found some random show— (That’s facts.) Missed the ride, missed the plan, Took a bus back home like a traveling man. No phone, no rush, no worry, no shame— Just chaos flowing through his veins. Every time he disappeared like smoke, He’d come back grinning like “Yo, what’s the joke?” Final Chorus (bigger!) Where’d he go? (We STILL don’t know!) Layin’ in AC with the chicken fingers cold. Where’d he go? (Who can say?) Whole weekend gone and he missed three days. Where’d he go? (Ohhh man!) Met some girls and joined their band. Where’d he go? (Now he’s back!) Took a bus home—just like that. Outro: Some folks walk a straight-line track… Not this dude— He was built off-map. Late or missing, lost or gone— But he’d always show back up at dawn.
