So what if you work all day, pray loud, quote verse your way, still think you can buy grace, still race to prove your face. So what if you tithe to the cent, if your heart ain’t bent, if you love rules more than soul, if you guard law but not goal. So what if you preach and post, claim you holy the most, when the Spirit move you boast, that ain’t ghost, that’s host. So what if you serve to shine, still blind to the vine. So what if you fast for praise, still chase man’s gaze. So what if you sing in choir, still feed pride’s fire. So what if you study deep, but judge sheep. So what if you clean house, but your heart still spouse to doubt. So what if you never curse, but you rehearse every worse thought inside. So what if you perfect stride, but hide divide. So what if you speak tongues loud, but don’t love crowd. So what if you lead and lead, if you still bleed greed. So what if you know every verse by heart, but missed the part — it’s grace, not art. So what if you build church tall, if Christ ain’t all. So what if you brag works done, if you forgot the Son. So what if you fight for right, but forget the light. So what if you moral clean, but no Spirit seen. So what if you give and feed, but still crave need. So what if you hold command, but don’t understand. So what if you claim faith true, but still judge who. So what if you talk “born again,” but never met Him within. So what if you say “I’m good,” when grace misunderstood. You can’t earn what gift give, you can’t prove why you live. You can’t climb to heaven’s door, when it open before. You can’t trade effort for love, it descend from above. You can’t code redemption plan, it’s not man. You can’t flex salvation won, it’s done. The cross don’t need your hand, it stand. The tomb don’t need your talk, it walk. He said “It’s finished,” you said “But wait.” He said “grace,” you said “debate.” He said “free,” you said “fee.” He said “done,” you said “me.” That’s the problem in disguise, self-righteous pride baptize. So what if you boast your pain, when He already took chain. So what if you show your deed, when grace exceed. So what if you fight to prove, when love already move. So what if you climb high rung, when kingdom for the young. So what if you teach rule and law, but forgot awe. So what if you pray long hours, if you still crave man’s powers. So what if you call yourself humble, when truth stumble. So what if you dress clean robe, if Spirit globe you disrobe. So what if you rich in tithe, but poor in life. So what if you strict in creed, but void of seed. So what if you stand and shout, if your faith still doubt. So what if you look right, if heart not light. So what if you righteous crowd, if grace not loud. You can’t earn what already given, you can’t pay what forgiven. You can’t match what divine, it’s design. You can’t trade sin for show, you just slow to know. Grace ain’t wage, it’s stage, where love engage. Holy Spirit ain’t hire, it’s fire. You can’t buy that flame, it know no name. It descend, not demand, it expand. You can’t force what flow, it grow where surrender go. It’s free, not fee, gift, not plea. You can’t impress what see heart, not chart. You can’t trick what omniscient, you can’t supplement omnipotent. Grace ain’t fair, it’s freedom rare. It don’t care status or stare. It rescue thief and priest, same feast. It lift addict and academic, both systemic. It’s free, scandalous, wild, unapologetic, styled. You can’t bottle love divine, it’s fountain spine. So what if you think you good, when no one could. He died so you don’t perform, He rose to transform. You don’t climb to reach His sight, He descend to make you right. You can’t work to earn breath, it’s gift till death. You can’t prove salvation’s hand, it’s grace that stand. So what if you count score, He already won war. So what if you righteous tone, you still flesh and bone. So what if you preach long thread, if grace unread. So what if you judge who fall, you forgot He forgive all. So what if you think grace cheap, it cost deep. It bought by blood, it flood, it flood, it flood. The Spirit free, not fee, grace not degree. You can’t polish what pure, can’t fix what secure. So drop your pride, drop your strive, grace alive. It’s the free gift, you just receive, not achieve. It’s the Holy Spirit breath, not work of flesh. So what if you think you can earn, you’ll just burn trying to learn what love already turn. So what if you say you strong, He knew you wrong, that’s why He came along. So what if you think grace old, it’s still gold. So what if world mock free, it’s the key. I don’t boast my deed, I boast seed, grace creed. I don’t earn, I return. I don’t build, I yield. I don’t prove, I move. So what if they call me lazy, I call it faith crazy. So what if they say I fall, I got grace for it all. So what if they say I don’t do enough, I say His blood enough. So what if they call me fool, I say He rule. Grace the answer, grace the plan, grace the only stand.
