The Well Has Run Dry R Scott Kosinski 6/17/2023-10/21/2023 In a world that’s full of consequences It breaks down all of our defenses If you seek then ye shall find That all wisdom comes with time Traveling to the empty spaces memories that the mind erases Left here wanting more Back to where we were before When we crave inspiration From a thirst born deep inside We seek the same source For the relief that it provides In a state of desperation We may drink too many times Then are still surprised to find the well has run dry The sane are living in their cages While the crazy live their rages Neither can see That neither are really free But in time it is clear We all become just what we fear Despite how hard we try We uncover the lie When we search for our salvation To pay penance for our crimes We may curse our own creation In our cries towards the divine In the thirst of our damnation We have drank too many times Yet are still surprised to find the well has run dry
