Floating Spaceman

A great eclipse, in a star lit sky, Fades the light to the heavens high, The floating spaceman has lost his way The stars distorted and the sky is grey Oh take me up to a light that shines, Across the cosmos and the waking mind Bring your love and a new desire, to change a world in a darkened hour Oh empty people, empty minds, Shadows heavy and hearts are blind Fill your soul before your eyes are closed, and Raise the angels, let their wings unfold. Oh take me higher, so I can see across the cosmos, a glimpse maybe, Climb the pathways and see the sun, then Chart the path to the past that’s done A shining star in a fractured sky Brings salvation as the angels cry Looking back is all I see Space and time forever with me. Float away And see the sun, the floating spaceman Life is done
