(Verse 1) Out on the Appalachian Trail, the sun was shining bright, Kevin and Miles were hiking hard, just chasing morning light. Then came Alex, wild and bold, with a grin from ear to ear, He said, “Forget your boots and blisters—boys, I brought some gear!” He rolled up with two dirt bikes, engines growlin’ loud, Said, “Ride ‘em fast and ride ‘em free, go make your mamas proud!” Kevin revved, Miles gave a yell, and off the trail they tore, Flying past the pine trees like two legends from folklore. (Chorus) But the trail got thin, and the hill got steep, And the map was wrong by ten thousand feet. They skidded left, then dove off right, Off a cliff they launched like birds in flight! Then out of the clouds with a screech so wild— Came a pterodactyl, grinning like a child! Scooped ‘em up with a flappin’ roar, And dropped them gently back on forest floor. (Verse 2) Kevin screamed, “I saw my life!” Miles said, “I saw a moose!” But Alex just laughed and popped some juice, “Y’all took flight like ancient kings— Never seen a better use of wings.” The pterodactyl circled once, then gave a final screech, Left behind a fossil tooth and vanished outta reach. Now Kevin’s got it on a chain, and Miles tells the tale, Of dirt bikes, cliffs, and dino lifts across that mountain trail. (Chorus) ‘Cause the trail got thin, and the hill got steep, And the map was off by a canyon deep. They skidded left, then dove off right, Into the sky from a trail-top flight. But fate stepped in with wings and style— A pterodactyl saved 'em with a prehistoric smile! Now they ride, but not too near the edge, And give high-fives to birds on every ledge. (Outro) So if you're hiking and hear a flap, Or see a shadow cross your map, Just know that Kevin, Miles, and fate— Took a ride most folks can’t recreate. Thanks to Alex, and his gift so slick, And the pterodactyl with the hero pick. 🦖🛵🌄
