I can never understand Lord why you chose a wretch like me? One so faithless and unworthy with a heart too blind to see. Though I tried so hard to find thee there was much that called to me. All the voices so enticing promising the world to me. In this life of strife and struggle all in vain I searched to find things to satisfy the longing of my aching heart and mind. In my brokenness I found Thee; in my grief you heard my plea. When in need the world betrayed me you alone my pain did see. Oh how foolish undeserving, how unworthy could I be. Yet in mercy you embraced me in your love you set me free. Lord I pray you know my weakness and how hopeless I would be. In my struggles please be with me for I have no one but thee.
