Senate Dragged

[Verse 1] Right. Let’s have a proper little chat, shall we? You lot drag me in here with your polished faces and your sanctimonious bollocks, and you call it a mission report. Ord Mantell. Separatist uprising. Rumours of Sith involvement. All very tidy on paper, all very convenient when you’re not the one standing in the filth with a blade in your hand. Me and Ahsoka Tano. Sworn sisters. Two Jedi Knights, doing the job you were too frightened to do yourselves. You said civilians were acceptable losses. Acceptable. Losses. Do you hear how disgusting that sounds when a living person says it out loud? What a load of old shite. I’m Velvette. Jedi Knight of the Republic. Purple blade. Vaapad. And I do not confuse caution with cowardice, nor do I confuse your bureaucracy with morality. We found what was left of the Separatist cell. We pulled apart the lie. We traced the fear beneath it. And we dealt with it. Because that is what Jedi do when the galaxy starts bleeding. Not after a vote. Not after a committee. Not after some grand standing wanker in a robe decides the wording is sufficiently clean. We completed the mission. Regardless of what the Senate says. Regardless of what you lot write in your little files. We did not do it by your book, because your book had civilians written off like rubbish in the margins. So no, I will not stand here and nod politely while you tell me that saving lives was somehow inefficient. I will not curtsey for a system that counts the dead before it counts the desperate. And I will not be spoken to like some errand girl who failed inspection. I am a Jedi Knight. I am a wife to Xander Quinn, who has exactly as much patience for this nonsense as I do, which is to say, none at all. I am a mother of two Force-sensitive daughters, and I will burn this whole gilded chamber to the ground with the truth before I let any of you call that weakness. So keep your objectives. Keep your language. Keep your bloody procedures. We were there. We saw it. We stopped it. That is the report. And if you have a problem with the way I saved your precious Republic, you can stick your objections where the sun doesn’t shine, because I’ve heard quite enough bollocks for one day. Ahsoka and I did our fucking job. And now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m going home.
