Dancing shoes in the rain

[Verse] Puddles whisper secrets to my feet Left and right they tap to the beat Soggy laces tied too tight Squishy souls in the moonlight [Chorus] Shoes in the rain they dance insane Slipping sliding like they’ve no brain Oh shoes in the rain they don’t complain Worn and wild they’ll do it again [Verse 2] Socks are rebels soaked and free Umbrella’s broken laughing with me Every step a splashy crime We’re making ripples out of time [Prechorus] Who needs the sun when the puddles sing Every drop a tiny spring [Chorus] Shoes in the rain they dance insane Slipping sliding like they’ve no brain Oh shoes in the rain they don’t complain Worn and wild they’ll do it again [Bridge] Water fights my denim hem But I’m a captain at the helm Ships of leather sail the streets A stormy voyage beneath my feet
