Second Coming

[Verse] A desperate couple in a foreign land Seeking a room but there’s high demand All the hostels are full Of addicts Not going quite as planned [Prechorus] Best they can get is a street side tent A humble beginning to this huge event [Chorus] A second coming in Bethlehem A child is born He brings new hope again No tributes No fanfare Only passers by, nobody cares for them A second coming in Bethlehem [Verse] A nearby busker plays a Christmas song Stray dogs and rats are Scurrying along His parents silently Weep for him Been born into a world gone grim [Prechorus] A star shines bright above Beaming down with pride A miracle’s occurred where the lost reside [Chorus] A second coming in Bethlehem A child is born He brings new hope again No gold Frankincense or myrrh Only three unwise homeless men A second coming in Bethlehem [Chorus] A second coming in Bethlehem A child is born He brings new hope again No tributes No fanfare Only passers by, nobody cares for them [Chorus] A second coming in Bethlehem A child is born He brings new hope again No angels No halo But the prospect of a better world, Amen! A second coming in Bethlehem
