Out Of My League

V5.5

Absolutely — I’d rearrange it so the story builds more naturally: attraction → insecurity → confession → emotional peak → final chorus. I’d also make the chorus a little more catchy and avoid repeating the same idea too early. OUT OF MY LEAGUE [Intro] Yeah… Sometimes you meet somebody And you already know they’re everything you’ve been looking for… But you’re too afraid to reach for them. [Verse 1] I see you standing there, and I lose my words, Like every feeling in me suddenly gets blurred. You walk into the room, and the world fades away, But I’m watching from a distance, afraid to say your name. You’re everything I dreamed of, everything I can’t explain, And I’m scared to get too close, scared of feeling this pain. You don’t even know you’re taking pieces of my heart, While I’m fighting every feeling before it tears me apart. [Pre-Chorus] How do I tell you what I feel inside, When I’m already convinced you’re too far out of my life? You’re reaching for the stars while I’m standing on the ground, Trying to find the courage just to make a sound. [Chorus] ’Cause you’re out of my league, way above me, A kind of woman I never thought would notice me. And you don’t even know what you’re doing to my heart, You’re becoming my everything before we’ve even started. You’re out of my league, and I know it’s true, But no matter what I do, my heart keeps choosing you. Maybe I should walk away, maybe I should let you go, But how do I forget someone I’ve barely even known? [Verse 2] I rehearse a thousand words whenever you’re around, But when you look at me, they never make a sound. I want to tell you how beautiful you are, But I’m afraid you’ll see the distance between who we are. Maybe you deserve somebody better than me, Someone who can give you everything you need. But if you ever looked beneath these walls I hide behind, You’d see you’ve already captured this heart of mine. [Pre-Chorus 2] Maybe I’m afraid of what you might say, Maybe I’m afraid you’ll turn and walk away. But every time I try to hide what I feel, My heart reminds me that this love is real. [Chorus] You’re out of my league, way above me, A kind of woman I never thought would notice me. And you don’t even know what you’re doing to my heart, You’re becoming my everything before we’ve even started. You’re out of my league, but I can’t deny, Every time I see you, I lose my alibi. Maybe I should walk away, maybe I should let you go, But how do I forget someone I can’t let go? [Bridge] Maybe I’m crazy for loving you from afar, Maybe I’m reaching for something way beyond the stars. But love doesn’t ask permission, It just takes control. Somehow you walked into my life And touched my soul. So maybe I’ll take the chance, Maybe I’ll finally let you know. Because hiding what I feel Is hurting me more than letting go. [Breakdown] You don’t have to be perfect, You don’t have to understand. I just need one moment To tell you who I am. And if you never feel the same, I’ll still be glad I tried. Because loving you was something I could never keep inside. [Final Chorus] You’re out of my league, way above me, But somehow you’re the only one I want beside me. You don’t even know you’re taking my heart, And I’m terrified of losing something that never had a start. You’re out of my league, but I can’t let go, Even if you’ll never know. I’ve been loving you quietly, Hiding everything inside of me. But maybe tonight, I’ll finally make you see… You’re not just out of my league— You’re everything to me. [Outro] Maybe one day I’ll find the courage to say, “You’ve had my heart since the very first day.” And if you ask me when I knew it was true… I’ll tell you— The moment I saw you, I already knew.
