[Intro] (Reggae guitar skank, smooth saxophone melody) [Verse 1] The sun is rising on a brand new day The shadows of the past are fading away We've been walking through the fire and the rain But the light of morning heals all the pain [Chorus] Oh, it's the day of redemption Can you feel the spirit rising high? It's the day of redemption Underneath the clear blue Zion sky No more weeping, no more sorrow to hold The story of the righteous is finally told [Verse 2] I hear the drums beating a steady pace We find our freedom in a sacred place The chains are broken, let the music play Give thanks and praises on this holy day [Chorus] Oh, it's the day of redemption Can you feel the spirit rising high? It's the day of redemption Underneath the clear blue Zion sky No more weeping, no more sorrow to hold The story of the righteous is finally told [Saxophone Solo] (Soulful, warm saxophone solo over steady roots rhythm) [Outro] Redemption... It's a new day... One love, one heart... (Fade out with guitar skank and saxophone riffs)
