More than one skyline

V5.5

Warner Robins, Georgia, that’s where my story starts, Southern summer nights, old friends and familiar yards. But I was never made to know just one road, Always had another place calling me to go. Pensacola water, Miami after dark, Virginia Beach waves left another little mark. Every city gave me something I could take, Every mile another memory I could make. [Chorus] I’ve seen more than one skyline, Watched the sun fall on a thousand different nights. From Georgia roads to that Marseille coast, Found pieces of myself everywhere I’d go. Oslo cold, Souda Bay blue, Different faces, different points of view. I didn’t leave home just to leave it behind, I left room in my life for a bigger life. [Verse 2] Walking through Norway with the cold in the air, Looking around thinking, damn, I’m really here. Marseille glowing underneath a French sunset, Those are the kinds of nights you don’t forget. Then Greece came into view across the sea, Old streets and places I’d never thought I’d see. Sat watching that horizon from miles offshore, And realized there’s always something more. [Bridge] Some friends stayed close, some faded with time, Then strangers became brothers somewhere down the line. Different accents, different streets, different ways to live, You learn how big this world really is. And every time that plane lands somewhere new, There’s another version of me coming through. [Outro] So when somebody asks me where I’m from, I’ll always say Warner Robins with pride. That’s the place that helped make who I am, But it ain’t the only place that’s shaped my life. From Georgia to Florida, Virginia to overseas, France, Norway, Greece underneath my feet. Still carrying home everywhere that I roam— The world got bigger, but Georgia’s still home.
