[Verse] The bowl is empty the eyes are wide A little meow a lot of pride The clock ticks slow they’re keeping score One more minute they’ll break the door [Chorus] God likes it when you feed your cat He sees the love in that A simple act no need to chat God likes it when you feed your cat [Verse 2] The tuna’s waiting in the can You’re holding destiny in your hand A purring engine starts to hum It’s not a chore it’s kingdom come [Prechorus] A nibble here a crunching sound Holy moments on the ground [Chorus] God likes it when you feed your cat He smiles and tips His hat It’s heaven in a whiskered format God likes it when you feed your cat [Bridge] The angels laugh they toss a treat Divine paws dance with furry feet The universe in a feline grin Starts and ends where you begin
