Candlecrack Jack

[Verse 1] Lil’ wick boy Glow in his grin Got drip Of the wax on his chin He lean from the windowsill Watchin’ you unwind Hands in your pockets But he’s pickin’ at your mind Soft hiss In the hush of the flat Shadow on the wall Where you swear you ain’t sat He don’t do jump scares He just taps your calm Like “easy now Easy now Feel that balm” [Chorus] Candlecrack Jack (flicker in your back) Pop in your pulse Whisper down your spine like that “I ain’t scary I’m sublime Relax” Burning at both ends Still he never slacks Candlecrack Jack (little ghost of a flame) Sharp snap Crackle Then you laugh at your own brain Hot lil’ spook With a wild-boy grin He light you up From the outside in [Verse 2] He dance on the table Slow rude sway Drip trace circles Where your thoughts mislay Steam off your tea Spellin’ shapes in the air You blink one time He already in your chair He hum in the hum Of the fridge at night Turnin’ every tight chest Into loose Warm light He ain’t tryna haunt He just bend your fear Make a joke of the dark Till it disappear [Chorus] Candlecrack Jack (flicker in your back) Pop in your pulse Whisper down your spine like that “I ain’t scary I’m sublime Relax” Burning at both ends Still he never slacks Candlecrack Jack (little ghost of a flame) Sharp snap Crackle Then you laugh at your own brain Hot lil’ spook With a wild-boy grin He light you up From the outside in [Bridge] [Beat strips down Echo stretching wide] Step to the side Feel the floorboards breathe Every creak Every creak Got a trick up its sleeve He say “Fear’s just fun With a mask on Man” Then he bow in the dark Like a showman [Chorus] Candlecrack Jack (flicker in your back) Pop in your pulse Whisper down your spine like that “I ain’t scary I’m sublime Relax” Burning at both ends Still he never slacks Candlecrack Jack (little ghost of a flame) Sharp snap Crackle Then you laugh at your own brain Hot lil’ spook With a wild-boy grin He light you up From the outside in
