Lazy River Kinda Day

Upbeat front-porch bluegrass: bright fiddle leads, rolling banjo, woody acoustic guitar, and upright bass walking gently, Male vocals with tight three-part harmonies in the chorus, Verse grooves stay relaxed and bouncy, chorus lifts with hand-slaps on guitar and a touch of mandolin shimmer, Warm, roomy mix that feels like late-afternoon sunlight, bluegrass

[Verse 1] Sunburnt hat Dust on my boots Cool jar sweating By the front yard fruit Bare feet swinging Off this old porch rail Watching that dog Chase his own tail [Chorus] It’s a lazy river kinda day Let the warm wind take my worry away Cicadas singing in the tall Tall hay I’m just chilling in the countryside in summer Nothing else I’d rather do today [Verse 2] Neighbor’s truck Gravel in the air He leans on the horn I just wave from my chair Cornfield whisper Crickets start to tune We trade bad jokes ’Til the sky turns blue to June (oh yeah) [Chorus] It’s a lazy river kinda day Let the warm wind take my worry away Cicadas singing in the tall Tall hay I’m just chilling in the countryside in summer Nothing else I’d rather do today [Bridge] No big plans Just grass and time Peach juice running Down this jawline If there’s a heaven It’s this backyard shade Fireflies waiting For the night parade (hey!) [Chorus] It’s a lazy river kinda day Let the warm wind take my worry away Cicadas singing in the tall Tall hay I’m just chilling in the countryside in summer Nothing else I’d rather do today
