Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever. PSALMS 73:25-26 "None upon earth that I desire beside thee." Oh, if only it were this easy! The sins of this world are so tempting, but as explained later in this Psalm, "flesh and heart faileth." The temptations of earth are fleeting and finite, but seek God's love and it will be infinite. I shall love ye forever and ever O Lord! Even when silence fills my hands and doubt walks beside me, I still reach upward. Hark! The angels in heaven sing Your praises and people of earth shall do the same. Their voices feel closer than breath, like light through stained glass skies. I am but one meek voice, but united with Your strength I know that anything is possible, my all-powerful and knowing God! Even weakness becomes a pathway when held in Your design. Guide my wandering heart through shadowed days Hold me steady in Your endless ways Though I falter, You remain The quiet hope through every strain The world pulls gently but endlessly, like tides that never sleep. I feel the weight of wanting more than what is seen, yet I fear what that wanting becomes. Still I return to You, not in perfection, but in persistence. Every step away becomes a reason to come closer. I thought desire meant possession, but now I see it may mean surrender. And in surrender I do not lose myself—I am shaped. Not erased, but remade. Guide my wandering heart through shadowed days Hold me steady in Your endless ways Though I falter, You remain The quiet hope through every strain You are the strength where I am weak The voice I lose when I cannot speak Bless this day and all of my days on the earth so that I may help others to know You and know You better upon my judgment day, Amen.
