Letter 26 – The Attempt in Galilee to Make Christ a King
[Introduction]: The enthusiastic and fiery crowd in Galilee tries to crown Jesus by force, seeing in him the long-awaited political liberator—an offer he is about to refuse. [Verse 1]: The crowd gathers at the top of the hill, / Wine and hope pulsing in their veins. / They shout his name like brandished swords, / Ready to crown him on these trampled lands. / They want a leader, a blade, a strong sovereign, / To drive out the occupier and conquer fate. [Chorus]: They wanted a monarch armed with lightning and gold, / He offers silence and a stronger love. / The throne of the earth does not tempt him, / He traces another path beneath our feet. [Verse 2]: Laurel wreaths stretched toward the sky, / Promises of glory and virtual honey. / "Come reign over us, take the scepter and iron, / Lead your armies beyond the seas!" / But he looks at the horizon with a distant stride, / Indifferent to the cries of this fervent people. [Chorus]: They wanted a monarch armed with lightning and gold, / He offers silence and a stronger love. / The throne of the earth does not tempt him, / He traces another path beneath our feet. [Verse 3]: He retreats alone, slipping from their grasp, / Shattering their royal imprint with a single glance. / His kingdom is not made of mud and blood, / But of an eternal breath, discreet and powerful. / The astonished crowd watches him walk away, / Having refused to be crowned. [Outro]: He slips away into the night, an elusive king, / Leaving men alone with their own law.
