Faith Defies The Shadowed Depths
Verse 1 In shadowed void, where whispers weave their dark and fearsome snare, The banished dwell in timeless night, yet shudder in despair. For though they bend the hearts of men with thoughts both grim and vain, They cannot grasp the power strong that breaks the binding chain. The faithful walk a path unseen, where mortal eyes are blind, And wield a light eternal, armed with strength of heart and mind. Chorus They fathom not how mortals trust in what they cannot see, For Faith defies the shadowed depths and breaks eternity. The logic of the void may cry that all is lost to night, But wings of eagles lift the soul; the weapons gleam with light. Strongholds crumble, walls are torn, the chains of fear undone, The timeless forces know too well: through Faith, the battle’s won. Verse 2 In barren waste He wandered far, beneath the searing sun, And there the Tempter’s honeyed voice proclaimed the prize He’d won: "Bow to me, and kingdoms vast shall rise beneath Your sway!" Yet Truth was in His steadfast heart; the Tempter slunk away. No bread, no crown, nor fleeting might could turn Him from the path, For He who bore the world’s great weight had scorned the shadow’s wrath. Verse 3 In Gethsemane’s still garden lay the weight of woe untold, As drops of blood fell to the earth beneath the olive’s gold. An angel came with light of stars to strengthen and to stand, While He who bore the cup of wrath obeyed the King’s command. Through agony and shadow deep, He trod the darkened way, Till Heaven’s gates would sound with praise upon Redemption’s Day. Bridge To deepest depths He made His way, through gates of iron bound, And tore asunder ancient doors where captive souls were found. The waters of the heavens quaked, the stars stood still in awe, As He arose, the Victor crowned, fulfilling Heaven’s law. The unseen trembled, voids grew pale, and hosts of Heaven sang: The King of Glory, risen now, had crushed the serpent’s fang. Outro The void is vast, but light prevails, and faith shall not be dimmed, For in the hearts of mortals burns the song the shadows hymned. The weight of time is but a breath; the battle yet may roar, But trust the Light undying—He shall reign forevermore.
