I remember back then, nineteen‑eighty‑something, Got our first car, fell in love for nothing. Cruised the highways every night and day, Went to scenic places, teenage love at play. Our freedom was driving on love’s highways, Windows rolled down, music blasting away. Can’t remember the song — maybe Ticket to Ride — Smoking cigarettes, we were the joy‑ride. Remember then, nineteen‑eighty‑something, Falling in love, trying to achieve nothing. Joy riders on love’s highways, Way back then, remembered today. Our freedom was driving on love’s highways, Windows rolled down, music blasting away. Can’t remember the song — maybe Ticket to Ride — Smoking cigarettes, we were the joy‑ride,,, Andy. B 01.07.003
