Christ Arose

Verse 1 Low in the grave He lay Jesus, my Savior Silent beneath the weight Jesus, my Lord Hope seemed buried with the stone Night had claimed the sky Still the grave could never hold The Author of life Chorus Up from the grave, He arose He conquered death and every foe He rose a victor from the darkest place And now He lives forever full of grace He rose, He rose Hallelujah, Christ arose Verse 2 Vainly they guarded the tomb Jesus, my Savior Sealed in the heart of the earth Jesus, my Lord Darkness thought the battle won Hell believed the claim But the power of eternal life Was waking in His name Chorus Up from the grave He rose He conquered death and every foe He rose a victor from the darkest place And now He lives forever full of grace He rose, He rose Hallelujah, Christ arose Bridge Death could not keep Him Night could not hide Him Stone could not hold back The strength of His hand Grave, you are broken Hell, you are shaken Jesus has risen Just as He said Chorus Up from the grave He rose He conquered death and every foe He rose a victor from the darkest place And now He lives forever full of grace He rose, He rose Hallelujah, Christ arose
