God, Thou art my God, I seek Thee earnestly My soul thirsts for Thee My flesh yearns for Thee In barren lands I seek Thee in the sanctuary To see Thy power and Thy glory. God, Thou art my God, I seek Thee earnestly My soul thirsts for Thee My flesh yearns for Thee In barren lands I seek Thee in the sanctuary To see Thy power and Thy glory. Because Thy lovingkindness is better than life My lips will praise Thee And I will bless Thee I’ll go on blessing Thee until the end of my life I’ll sing my joyful praises for the rest of my life! I lie awake at night and meditate on Thee Of how You comfort me And how You’re helping me. And in the shadow of Thy wings I sing with glee Because Thy right hand upholds me. Those who seek to kill me, in hell they shall be The sword shall destroy them The jackals shall eat them But I rejoice in God and trust He’ll rescue me While liars shall be silenced presently.
