[Verse] In the quiet of the night I hear a whisper A call to me so clear so pure Prepare your heart your soul your mind The King of Kings is coming near [Verse 2] Candles flicker in the dark a warm glow Shadows dance as hope ignites In every heart let love now grow Prepare for Him the light of lights [Chorus] Prepare the way make ready your heart In every corner every part In silent prayer in joyful songs He is coming it won’t be long [Verse 3] Golden stars hang in the sky like lanterns Guiding us through winter's chill In the stillness let love return Prepare for Him the love to fill [Bridge] Footsteps echo on the path we wander Every step a chance to grow In this season wait no longer Prepare the way let praises flow [Chorus] Prepare the way make ready your heart In every corner every part In silent prayer in joyful songs He is coming it won’t be long
