P- Eazy Story

V6

Verse 1 He was just a young Black boy with a storm inside his chest, A crash-out in these streets, always ready for a test. They called him hardheaded, said his future wouldn’t last, But they never saw the little boy still hiding in his past. His loyalty ran deeper than the blood that made him breathe, And he’d put his life on the line for the ones he wouldn’t leave. He wasn’t chasing fame, he wasn’t dreaming of applause, He just wanted Momma smiling, free from bills and broken laws. So he learned to move in silence, keep his feelings out of sight, Trying to turn these streets to something that could make her future bright. Verse 2 Every dollar that he stacked, he had a vision in his mind, A house where Momma felt safe, with some peace she couldn’t find. No more crying in the kitchen when the bills came overdue, No more saying, “Baby, I’m okay,” when he knew that wasn’t true. He was hustling through the darkness, taking chances with his life, Thinking one more move would finally make the struggle right. “Just a little longer, Momma, I’ma get us out this place. You won’t ever have to worry, you gon’ finally breathe some space.” He was building her a future with each risk that he would take, Never knowing that the next phone call could shatter every dream he’d make. Verse 3 His phone rang while he was working, money sitting in his hand, But the voice on the other end said something he couldn’t understand. “Something’s wrong with your momma”—then the silence swallowed whole, And a thousand different nightmares started racing through his soul. “WHAT YOU MEAN? WHAT HAPPENED? TELL ME SOMETHING! IS SHE THERE?” But nobody had the answers, just confusion in the air. He dropped everything he worked for, felt his heartbeat miss a beat, All the money in his pockets couldn’t keep him on his feet. He had faced down every danger, never flinched and never ran, But now he couldn’t fight the fear that he might lose his biggest fan. Verse 4 They went to wake his momma, but she wouldn’t open her eyes, And the room became a nightmare underneath a silent sky. They were calling out her name, shaking, begging her to wake, While the seconds felt like hours and his whole world start to break. Then the ambulance came rushing, sirens screaming through the night, He watched them work to bring her back, praying God would make things right. “Momma, please! You can’t leave me! I ain’t made it yet, you see? I was supposed to change your life—you're supposed to live with me!” Now the boy who feared no danger stood trembling in the hall, 'Cause the toughest soul on any block can feel too small when loved ones fall. Verse 5 Now he’s pacing through the hospital, his hands against his head, Every prayer he never whispered is the prayer he’s saying now instead. All those nights he spent out grinding, every dollar that he chased, All the times she went to sleep alone, the hugs he couldn’t make. He was trying to buy her comfort, give her everything she missed, Never knowing all those moments were the riches he could give. He would trade the cash, the clothes, the chains, the whole street-side parade, For one more “Baby, I love you,” for one more meal she made. “God, I don’t need to be a king, I don’t need to be a star, Just don’t let the woman who raised me become a memory in my heart.” Verse 6 Now his knees are on the floor, and his pride has disappeared, He’s the little boy she rocked to sleep, drowning in his fears. “Momma, I was gonna make it! I was gonna change our fate! I was trying to give you heaven—I just thought I had more days. I was chasing every dollar, trying to outrun all our pain, Never thought the one who loved me most could be the one I couldn’t save. You told me I was worth something when the world said I was not, You loved me through my worst mistakes, through every battle that I fought. So if you hear me, Momma, please, just open up your eyes. I don’t need another dollar—just one more chance to make you smile.” And somewhere in that hallway, a young boy’s spirit broke, For the first time in his life, he had no tough-guy words to spoke. All that loyalty, that hustle, all that money, all that pride— Couldn't promise him tomorrow, couldn't keep her by his side. He was trying to save his momma from the pain she'd always known, Never realizing all she wanted was to know she wasn't alone. Now he’s praying for a heartbeat, for a chance to make things right— 'Cause he spent his life chasing a come-up, never knowing time could take flight. Outro — Spoken, with the music fading “To every young brother out there running these streets, thinking money is the only way to save your momma… Call her. Go see her. Sit beside h
