The Ballad of the Brave Six

V3.5

[Verse 1] Six young Greydogs, full of pride, Joined the King’s raid, with swords by their side. Theros the Blue, prancing proud in his woad, With his shiny blade, down the path he strode. Jarang, his brother, strong as a tree, But clumsy as an ox, tripping over his knee. Yorgi the healer, a merchant in training, Patchin' up wounds while complaints he's gaining. Olaus, so grim, with death on his mind, Waving his dagger, always in a bind. Ragnar, good-lookin', brave and slick, Barlos, strong as an ox, but his patience? Quick. [Chorus] Oh, the brave six, from Snorri’s Stead, With plans so grand, but luck misled. They fought, they stumbled, they gave it their all, But when it came to treasure, they hit a stone wall. [Verse 2] Through the city walls, they snuck like pros, Theros picked the lock (or so the story goes). They crept through tunnels, dark and damp, Emerging in the city, ready to tramp. Longbrewer’s Greydogs smashed the gate wide, While our six were in the center, lookin' for pride. The battle was brutal, the gate was won, But beneath the city lay treasure, none? They tried to unlock a door, so bold, But failed so hard, the tale’s still told. [Chorus] Oh, the brave six, from Snorri’s Stead, With plans so grand, but luck misled. They fought, they stumbled, they gave it their all, But when it came to treasure, they hit a stone wall. [Verse 3] Theros, Blue-eyes, thought he was quick, "No one can hit me!" he boasted real slick. Hillhaven’s fist came down with a crash, Goodsword followed with a mighty bash. Knocked out cold, not once but twice, Theros learned, braggin' ain't so nice. Barlos, so mighty, gave foes a chance, "Do you surrender?" (it was a dance). They refused, and he gave 'em another, And another, and yet one more to smother! [Chorus] Oh, the brave six, from Snorri’s Stead, With plans so grand, but luck misled. They fought, they stumbled, they gave it their all, But when it came to treasure, they hit a stone wall. [Bridge] Yorgi patched wounds while grumblin’ low, Ragnar just winked, stealing the show. Olaus, meanwhile, stared at the dead, While the rest of them sighed, “Let’s drink instead!” [Chorus] Oh, the brave six, from Snorri’s Stead, With plans so grand, but luck misled. They fought, they stumbled, they gave it their all, But when it came to treasure, they hit a stone wall. ... [Outro] So here’s to the six who gave it their best, But luck had a way of putting them to the test. With blades and brawn, they aimed for fame, But they walked away with just their name. The treasure stayed locked, but spirits stay high, For the Greydogs will always give it another try!
