[Intro] Hey Christians, let me ask you something, Why's every dark emotion suddenly demonic? Anger, grief, doubt, fear in my chest— You call it the devil when my mind needs rest. [Verse 1] Why's sadness gotta mean that I'm losing my faith? Why's anger gotta mean that the devil's in place? Why's doubt automatically some spiritual attack? Maybe I'm just human—why you gotta call it that? If I'm hurting, don't tell me I'm under attack, Don't slap a Bible verse on the pain in my back. Sometimes I'm pissed, sometimes I break down, That doesn't mean some demon's hanging around. You say, "Think positive, don't give darkness a voice," But emotions ain't evil, they're part of the noise. You can't pray every feeling out of existence, Sometimes understanding takes more than resistance. [Hook] Hey Christians, why's the devil get the blame? Every negative feeling, every tear, every flame? Maybe fear is just fear, maybe grief is just grief, Maybe feeling something doesn't mean I lost belief. Why's anger a sin if injustice makes me mad? Why's sadness suspicious when somebody's hurting bad? If God made the mind, then explain this part— Why would having human emotions mean a devil's got my heart? [Verse 2] You tell me, "Don't dwell on it, cast it away," But what if the feeling has something to say? What if anger says, "Something here ain't right"? What if fear says, "Slow down, you're losing sight"? What if grief is love with nowhere to go? What if tears aren't weakness but a way to let go? What if doubt is a question, not a declaration? What if asking hard questions is part of maturation? You don't have to worship every thought in your head, But you don't have to label every feeling undead. Not every dark cloud is a spiritual war, Sometimes you're exhausted—nothing deeper than that, no more. [Bridge] Don't confuse emotion with obedience, Don't confuse discomfort with evil's presence. You can feel the storm without becoming the storm, You can question your faith without being transformed. I'm not saying every feeling should control what I do, I'm saying feelings are signals worth listening to. So before you scream, "The devil's inside," Maybe ask what's underneath instead of making me hide. [Verse 3] Because fear ain't possession, And grief ain't rebellion, Anger ain't proof of some demonic connection. Sometimes people need compassion, not correction, A listening ear, not another condemnation. If faith means truth, then let questions survive, If God is secure, why be scared when I question why? If every negative thought is Satan's attack, Then why'd you make emotions something humans naturally have? So hey Christians, here's the question tonight: Do you really think darkness makes the devil ignite? Or could negative emotions just be part of being human— Something to understand instead of assuming? [Outro] Maybe the devil isn't hiding in every emotion. Maybe being human isn't spiritual corrosion. Feel what you feel—just choose what you do. A feeling isn't evil just because it isn't comfortable to you.
