[Intro] A breath of smoke drifts through the rain, The season ends, but the ache remains. [Verse 1] The leaves fall quiet, no color remains, Their gold dissolves in forgotten rains. September burns in a final flame, But all that’s left is an empty name. [Pre-Chorus] Every breath tastes of yesterday, Every step fades into decay. [Chorus] Ashes of September, Falling with the rain. Ashes of September, Only loss remains.
