O Christ, Your Word is spoken, Your promise sealed with bread; Your body, bruised and broken, Now risen from the dead. Here at Your holy altar, Your gifts of grace impart; Our faith shall never falter, For You renew the heart. The wine, Your blood outpoured here, The cup of covenant; It cleanses and restores here, A holy sacrament. Forgiveness freely given, Our sins are borne away; A foretaste now of heaven, The feast of endless day. Your Word declares the mystery: “This is My blood, My flesh.” Not symbol, thought, or history, But gift that makes us fresh. True presence, not pretended, The Christ who died and lives; The Lamb, for sinners tended, Pours out the grace He gives. One bread, one cup uniting, Your people near and far; The church on earth delighting, The saints where angels are. With all the hosts before You, We join their ceaseless song; The heav’nly halls adore You, The praise is loud and strong. Here strength for battle’s granted, Here weary hearts are fed; Your cross and passion planted, Within us as our bread. The church in arms victorious, Presses toward the fight; The church at rest is glorious, All gathered in Your light. When doubt or fear would bind us, Your promise sets us free; Your mercy walks beside us Through all adversity. Though Satan’s hosts assail us, Your body makes us whole; No power shall prevail us, Your blood defends the soul. So teach us, Lord, to treasure The gifts You freely give; To taste the heav’nly pleasure, To die with You, and live. Our witness bold confessing, Until our work is done; This feast, our richest blessing, Prepares the crown we’ve won. So keep us, Lord, believing, Till faith gives way to sight; The cup of joy receiving, The marriage feast of light. The Lamb once slain is living, The Bridegroom calls us near; The endless banquet giving, The crown of life appears.
