[Intro – quiet, spoken] Potsdam, nineteen twenty-five, a young boy gazes at the stars. He wants to know what holds the world together, what may exist beyond space and time. [Verse 1] Then came the war, a flash of light, one single moment changed his life. His hands were gone, his eyes were scarred, and silence closed around his heart. But fire could never take his mind, in Göttingen he searched to find what others thought could not be known: What lies beyond the world we’ve shown? [Pre-Chorus] Is space just space? Is time just time? Is everything we see the whole design? [Chorus] Beyond the space, beyond the time, there may be more than meets the eye. Six dimensions, form and mind — matter may not be all we find. From smallest Metron to the stars, he searched for answers near and far. And one great question stayed with Heim: Could there be worlds beyond our time? [Verse 2] Einstein and Planck were where he’d start, but Heim would search beyond their paths: Quantum and space through geometry, one deeper structure underneath. Perhaps space cannot endlessly divide, the Metron marks a smallest side. And particles within his view were structures formed from something new. [Chorus] Beyond the space, beyond the time, there may be more than meets the eye. Six dimensions, form and mind — matter may not be all we find. From smallest Metron to the stars, he searched for answers near and far. And one great question stayed with Heim: Could there be worlds beyond our time? [Verse 3] He searched for masses in geometry, for hidden order underneath. Not only what a particle weighs — but why its mass should be that way. And then his questions travelled on, from matter into information, to life, awareness, consciousness, and worlds beyond what we possess. [Bridge] What is a human? Just dust and time? Or does our consciousness reach past the final line? Can information still remain when flesh and body fade away? He searched for answers to the end — but never claimed them proven then. Perhaps all knowledge starts right there, when someone still has strength to dare. Beyond the borders we have known, another question waits alone. [Final Chorus] Beyond the space, beyond the time, Heim searched for deeper truths to find. From smallest Metron into mind, one greater whole he hoped to find. Without his hands he left his trace, and searched beyond the bounds of space. Burkhard Heim, throughout his life, searched for what lies beyond our sight. [Outro] Space. Time. Matter. Information. And behind every answer waits another dimension.
