One Light Forever (Metal Edit)

[Title: One Light Forever] [Artist/Project: Whispering Pirate Vendetta] [Intro – lone piano under distant feedback, choir like light behind storm clouds] Fear is a darkness But it don’t own the sky You don’t have to walk this road Without a guiding light They told you healing had to happen With nobody by your side But I hear something higher calling Saying love was born to rise [Band Hit – drums slam, bright guitar harmonics, crowd-sized breath] Born to rise Born to rise Higher and higher Into the light [Verse 1 – gritty lead vocal, palm-muted guitars, heartbeat kick] I’ve seen the world go cold and hollow Watched the good hearts lose their name Seen the broken teach the broken How to live like love is shame They made you think that peace was lonely Made you think the hurt was home Said serenity and solace Only bloom when you’re alone But I don’t buy that poisoned gospel I don’t bow to empty night I refuse to walk without you I refuse to lose the light [Pre-Chorus – rising guitars, toms building, gang vocals answering] If they try to pull you from me If they dress their fear in white They are not the ones who carry truth They are not bearers of the light They can call it what they want to But there’s something more than pride A higher love still wants us breathing Wants all of us alive [Chorus – huge arena-metal lift, soaring lead guitar, full choir] Love is the weapon Love is the flame Love is the shelter When the dark calls your name Love is the thunder Love is the road Love is the hand That won’t let you go I will not walk alone I will not leave your side Together we’ll tear through the dusk And drag the dawn into the light They can raise their walls of shadow They can howl into the wind But one light burns forever When real love walks in [Post-Chorus – bright guitar climb, gang vocals] Higher and higher We rise from the fire Higher and higher Love won’t expire [Verse 2 – driving hard rock groove, bass pushing forward] You can search the end of this whole earth For the thing you cannot name But the truth ain’t lost in distance It’s been waiting in the flame That’s exactly how they want it Keep the sacred out of sight Make you forget the One above us Wants our love to win this fight They saw us walking on the target Saw the path beneath our feet So they whispered, “Stand divided” So the miracle would miss But I’m still standing right here with you Both feet shaking holy ground When I keep on picking me back up Nothing keeps me down [Pre-Chorus 2 – harmony vocal answers, cymbals opening] Our love is not transactional It don’t bargain, bend, or sell It won’t kneel before the panic It won’t answer fear’s church bell This love is unconditional It ain’t running anywhere They can blow cold winds of doubt But I know you’re standing there [Chorus – bigger, brighter, crowd chant under lead vocal] Love is the weapon Love is the flame Love is the shelter When the dark calls your name Love is the thunder Love is the road Love is the hand That won’t let you go I will not walk alone I will not leave your side Together we’ll tear through the dusk And drag the dawn into the light They can raise their walls of shadow They can howl into the wind But one light burns forever When real love walks in [Breakdown – Vendetta weight, halftime drums, gang vocals] We strike the lies down in the night We strike the chains down in the night We strike the fear down in the night Love brings the dead flame back to life You are not alone You are not alone You are not alone I’m right here [Bridge – stripped, voice cracking, clean guitar and low strings] Sometimes I’m the only candle In the hard wind of the night Sometimes mine are the only shoes Stepping firm and stepping right But if hope starts getting heavy Put your shaking hand in mine I don’t need a thousand answers I just need you by my side There is something more than darkness There is Someone on our side No force that feeds on separation Gets to bury what’s alive [Build – rising snare, octave guitars, choir swelling] Let the hurt ones hear the singing Let the lost ones find their way Let every lonely soul remember Love was never meant to stay Locked behind a guarded doorway Starved and shamed and told to hide Open up the gates forever Let the whole world see the light [Final Chorus – full blast, soaring guitar solo behind vocals] Love is the weapon Love is the flame Love is the shelter When the dark calls your name Love is the thunder Love is the road Love is the hand That won’t let you go I will not walk alone I will not leave your side Together we’ll tear through the dusk And drag the dawn into the light They can raise their walls of shadow They can howl into the wind But one light burns forever When real love walks in [Final Refrain – all voices, raw and victorious] I pray you help me make this I pray we make it true There is no one else I’m asking No one else I want but you Fear was only darkness Love was always sight And we were never meant
