I Bow Lower (English Accent) [Intro] waves breaking • acoustic guitar harmonics • warped record crackle Black sea, broken mast, salt in my throat. The tide pull me, then lay me gentle on unknown shore. “Where is this place...?” A red torii gate, shrine smoke rising, stone roads waiting. Strange clothes, strange faces. Every eye become a blade. [Verse 1] I bow my head — wrong direction. I speak my name — wrong language. I wear a smile — wrong century. Ashigaru watch, yari lower slow. Samurai armor flow through town. “Please... no fight, please.” Only silence answer me. I point to my mouth, “Food, o-ne-gai?” I point to the river, softly, “Mizu?” They point to the spear at me. [Hook] I bow lower, you lift the spear, I offer peace, you answer fear. I bow lower, you never hear, the more I bend, the less I'm here. [Verse 2] Old man reach for his weathered sword. Little child laugh, hold rust like toy. Quiet mother open up the curtain — another shining blade. I raise both hands high. “Okay, I leave, so very sorry.” I turn around slow. Three more men stand, eyes on me. No road, no boat, no friendly word. Only dark sea behind me. [Bridge] The temple bell — DON. Someone scream out. Everyone run wide. I look behind — nothing there. I look ahead — everyone coming for me. I finally understand. [Final Hook] I bow lower, you lift the spear, even small kindness vanish here. I bow lower, you never hear, if I survive this foreign shore, I still bow lower.
