Smokie by Richard Steiner
V5.5
O Smokie, You Given Of God, O Precious Dog, How Our Family Does Mourn, Whom All Did Adore. Each Look And Glance, From Your Unique Eyes, Made Adults And Children, Stare in Surprise. Daily You Served, As My Service Dog, Never Complained, Or Barked As Most Dogs. When You Retired, The Looks That You Gave, When At Home On The Ranch, You Could Run, Jump, And Play. My Soul Filled With Praise, Each Precious Day, God Above Gave, Till You My Sweet Smokie, Were Taken Away. Now As You Sleep, Death’s Dreamless Sleep, May One Day You Awake, To Again Run , Play And Leap!
