I met my girl in the rain Dark clouds burst Not in vain Her eyes shone A sweet refrain Hearts entwined Let go of pain Hand in hand Twilight hour Beneath the storm’s cleansing shower Found my strength Tasted power Love’s touch Our finest flower Tears of joy Released the ache Thunder roars But we don’t break Lightning strikes Hearts awake In the storm Our love won’t shake We danced on through the night Shadows fled at love’s light No more fear Darkest sight With her The world's so bright Time stood still As silence spoke Past regrets Dissolved like smoke She held me close No words to say Just one touch And skies gave way Tears of joy Released the ache Thunder roars But we don’t break Lightning strikes Hearts awake In the storm Our love won’t shake
